Best Beach Clubs with Pools in Costa del Sol (2025-2026 Guide)

/ 9 minutes read

This is my personal list of Costa del Sol beach clubs and pool clubs. I have been to all of them, so you will not find a recycled TripAdvisor mash-up here. If it is on this page, it has a proper pool, good food, and an atmosphere worth spending the day in.

One thing to clear up right away. When we say “club” on the Costa del Sol it does not mean private members only. You do not need a membership card or connections to get in. A beach club or pool club here simply means a place where you book a bed, order food and drinks, enjoy the music, and take a swim. Some are exclusive, but they are open to anyone who reserves.

If you are looking for something different, I have also written separate guides to [hotels with pools in Costa del Sol], [classic chiringuitos and beach restaurants]. And if you are the type who only swims if the water is warm, take a look at my [heated pool guide].

Sotogrande

Trocadero Sotogrande
The franchise that somehow doesn’t feel too franchise. Family friendly with a dark tropical design, right on the beachfront and slightly tucked away from the harbour. The food is consistently good and the menu mixes Mediterranean with Japanese. It has a relaxed feel compared to Marbella’s clubs and the pool is a decent size if you actually want to use it.

The Beach, La Reserva
This is the definition of a luxury Sotogrande beach club and really is a must visit. It is not at the sea but an inland lagoon built with imported sand. There are paddle boards, electric jetskis and kayaks, plus separate pools for adults and children. The restaurants are closer to fine dining than casual beach food and the service is well drilled. It can feel surreal to be swimming in a lagoon miles from the Mediterranean but it works. Beds on the sand are the best choice, though they can get noisy when the kids’ area is busy.

Casares

Finca Cortesin Beach Club
Part of the Finca Cortesin hotel but sitting directly on the beach in Casares and open to anyone who books. It has a decent sized pool, Balinese beds and a Mediterranean restaurant. The design is polished but the atmosphere is not stiff. From time to time they bring in live music, but mostly it is about calm poolside days with good food. It strikes a rare balance between comfort and style and feels less showy than Marbella.

Alcazaba Lagoon
A man-made lagoon east of Estepona with turquoise water, sandy beach and paddle boards. Very popular with families. It feels like a lagoon more than a club but it delivers what it promises.

Estepona

Nido
Run by the Mosh group who are known for their party restaurants in Marbella. Nido is modern and minimal with a main pool and shallow areas for lounging. Food is strong and they sometimes put on full tuna cutting shows which draw a crowd. The nudist beach sits directly in front but slightly lower, which has a habit of becoming a talking point. It is one of the more modern and youthful clubs in Estepona.

Trocadero Estepona
Carries the same tropical DNA as the other Trocaderos. The pool is smaller and feels like an addition to the restaurant rather than the main event, but it does add to the setting. Food is consistent, the crowd stylish, and the pace is calmer than the big Marbella names and is family friendly.

Nube
A boutique pool club that opened in spring 2026 (previously EVA. Smaller than the Marbella heavyweights but with a polished design and views across to Gibraltar. Music is lower in volume so you can talk without shouting,  food options include Greek, and it feels like a more refined take on Estepona’s pool scene. Pretty pricy and a lot of staff.

Sublim
Part of the new Laguna Village rebuild. Sublim has a modern pool, day beds and a few restaurants that serves Mediterranean dishes. DJs play through the day but it keeps a balance rather than going all in on party mode. Works well if you want to spend the full day eating, swimming and staying on for sunset cocktails. Can get pricey in high season.

San Pedro, Marbella and Puerto Banús

Barbillón Marbella
Located in Guadalmina Baja, about ten minutes from the Golden Mile. It has a pool with Bali beds, a beach area with loungers and a restaurant serving seafood and rice dishes. Music comes from DJs or live sets and the atmosphere is stylish but not overwhelming.

El Ancla
A pool and restaurant almost illegally close to the sea. Known for seafood and Spanish dishes, with a local crowd that prefers to keep it tourist free. Not posh, it’s family friendly during the day, quieter in the evenings. One of the more traditional poolside choices. Offer valet parking.

Gala Marbella
Opened in 2025 in San Pedro Alcántara, Gala is a mix of restaurant and pool club with a modern design. The menu focuses on Mediterranean dishes with some sushi options. The pool is distinctively red and stylish. but relaxed with music in the background and DJs on some evenings. It has a more intimate feel compared to the bigger clubs in Marbella.

La Sala by the Sea
Small in size but big on atmosphere. Thai-inspired décor, lively but not overwhelming, and a good option if you want the Puerto Banús pool vibe without the Ocean Club scale. Popular with the English locals and tourists.

Ocean Club Marbella
The heavyweight of Marbella pool clubs. A massive circular pool surrounded by sunbeds, DJs all day, and champagne shows that have become its trademark. You either love it or it is too much, but it remains one of the best known names on the coast.

Chambao Marbella
Beach and pool club on the Golden Mile. Smaller pool, sea views and a relaxed crowd. The menu focuses on Andalusian seafood with some international options. Service is friendly, music is laid back and the vibe is calmer than the big Marbella clubs.

Mogli
A pool club with a jungle style design, Balinese beds and loud music from afternoon until late. DJs, cocktails and bottle service make it more of a party spot than a quiet lounge. Stylish décor and a young crowd keep it busy through the summer.

NAÔ Pool Club
One of the most well known pool clubs in Marbella. RnB, house and hip hop set the soundtrack, with DJs stopping to hype the bottle shows. Young, trendy, loud and full of energy.

Coya Pool club
Adults only pool club inside Puente Romano surrounded by tropical gardens. The pool is smaller but the setting feels private and stylish. Food leans on COYA’s Peruvian inspired menu with light dishes and cocktails. It works best for couples or small groups looking for a calmer Marbella pool day.

Marbella Club Beach Club
An institution that belongs to the Marbella Club Hotel. Gardens, a heated calm pool and beachfront setting. Known for its old school glamour and for staying consistent through the years.

Sea Grill at Puente Romano
Restaurant that sits poolside and is open all day from breakfast to cocktails. Mediterranean dishes with a strong focus on fish and seafood. It is one of the more expensive choices but also one of the most reliable and one of my favorites. Its heated in the winters.

La Cabane, Los Monteros
One of the most iconic beach clubs in Marbella, fully renovated with Dolce & Gabbana design. All eyes on me pool, modern restaurant and elegant day beds. A mix of old prestige and new style.

Amú Beach Club
Newly opened inside the Gran Marbella Resort. Sleek design, infinity pool and Mediterranean dining right on the beach. It leans elegant rather than party heavy, aiming for a refined crowd. The resort also brings the Champneys Spa, adding a strong wellness angle to the mix.

Nikki Beach Marbella
The international brand that made white beds and sparklers in bottles famous. Themed parties, DJs and the same formula you find in Miami or Ibiza. Still one of the biggest draws in Marbella for people wanting the classic crazy beach club in Costa del Sol experience.

Mijas and Fuengirola

Max Beach
Restaurant and pool club with a large pool overlooking the sea. Family friendly during the day but switches to nightlife with DJs after dark. Has a mixed crowd and works for both.

The Beach, Higuerón Resort
Rooftop infinity pools with views of the beach. Day passes are available without staying in the hotel but mostly used by members of the resort, A modern and stylish option in Fuengirola.

El Lago club, Real de la Quinta
Set on a crystal clear lake in the hills above Marbella, El Lago Club is one of the most ambitious new projects on the coast. Picture a man made beach inland where you can paddleboard or kayak in the morning and then have lunch overlooking the water. Add to that a spa, gym, tennis and paddle courts, and even a six hole golf course wrapped around the lake and you start to see why this place is being talked about. The design is modern, the views stretch across the mountains and the sea, and the whole setting feels like a private resort built into nature. one of the most complete lifestyle clubs anywhere on the Costa del Sol.

Final Word

The range of Costa del Sol beach clubs is broad and each area has its own style. Marbella and Puerto Banús give you the full party with champagne and DJs, Estepona and Mijas are calmer and more balanced, Sotogrande and Casares lean towards luxury, and Málaga adds the city rooftop option.

If you are new here, try a few different ones. Each club has its own personality and the only real way to find your favourite is to spend the day there.
