Ocean Club Marbella

Ocean Club Marbella is one of those places almost everyone has heard of before even arriving in Marbella. Located right by the beach in Puerto Banús, it has always been known for its glamorous pool parties, champagne showers and lively atmosphere. But I have to say, since their renovation in 2025/2026, my impression of Ocean Club has really changed!

The whole place now feels much more elegant, calm and luxurious. I absolutely love the new interiors and the overall atmosphere. The huge saltwater pool is still the centre of attention, surrounded by large, comfortable sunbeds. There are no individual loungers here, which makes it especially nice if you’re visiting as a couple, with friends or as a family.

One thing I really want to highlight is the restaurant. The food is genuinely great, and I would happily visit just for lunch or dinner without spending the day by the pool. It’s definitely more than just a pool club these days.

Something else that surprised me is how family-friendly it has become! We visited on a Thursday with kids and had such a lovely day. The atmosphere was relaxed, the kids were happy and it felt completely different from the party destination Ocean Club is usually known for.

Of course, it still has its famous party side. Weekends, special events and themed parties can be much livelier, with DJs, champagne and the typical Marbella party crowd. So I would say it really depends on which day you visit and what kind of experience you’re looking for.

It’s still an expensive place, so don’t expect a budget-friendly day out. But personally, I think Ocean Club now offers much more than just its famous pool parties. Whether you’re looking for a beautiful lunch spot, a relaxed pool day with the family or a proper Marbella party, it’s definitely worth considering.
