Hotel El Pilar Andalucía

Hotel El Pilar Estepona is my favourite place to send clients and friends staying in town. It sits right in the heart of the old town, on the Flower Square, Plaza de las Flores.

The rooftop is fantastic: it looks over the entire square and holds Macaco, a Thai fusion restaurant, plus a summer terrace, which is rare to find in this town.

The hotel itself has a lovely boutique feel. Four stars, usually pretty booked in high season, and consistently busy through the rest of the year.

You are walking distance to about forty restaurants right at the doorstep, so a short stay never runs out of options. The staff are super kind, they help with maps, getting around, and recommendations.

Breakfast is decent, the hotel restaurant is decent too, with outdoor seating on the plaza. Great spot, highly recommended.
