Icha Mochi Sushi Bar

Icha Mochi Sushi Bar is hands down our number one sushi place right now. It opened in 2025 and is owned by a Swedish family who run the same restaurant concept in Sweden, which honestly explains a lot. It has quickly become a bit of a hotspot for Swedes in the area, and after going a few times, it’s easy to see why.

I don’t eat fish or sushi myself because I’m allergic, but Linda loves sushi and is used to high quality from Sweden. That can be surprisingly hard to find here, but this place delivers. She always orders the “shake shake” sushi, which is her favorite.

What makes this place a win for both of us is the setup next door. They also own the kebab and pizza place right beside it, and you can actually order from that menu as well. So while Linda enjoys her sushi, I can order something completely different. Win-win. The starters are great too. I’ve tried the baos, and they’re really good. The whole place feels relaxed, modern, and easy, without trying too hard.

If you’re looking for good sushi (and with a good price as well, especially nigiris) in San Pedro, Icha Mochi is one of those places that quickly becomes a regular.
