Open on Sunday?
Most of the year the answer is: Mercadona closed, most others open in the morning. Lidl, Aldi and Carrefour open Sunday mornings in the tourist towns all year, and Supercor Exprés opens late every day. In summer Mercadona changes: stores in the tourist zones open every Sunday 09:00 to 15:00, and weekdays run to 22:00. In 2026 that summer schedule ran from 22 June to 30 August.
