Spisa Food Market Nueva Andalucía

Spisa Food Market Nueva Andalucía

Spisa Food Market Nueva Andalucía is the original and largest Spisa location, and it’s very much rooted in Swedish food culture. It’s the first one that opened, and over time it’s grown into a real meeting point for Swedes on the coast, while also attracting plenty of non-Swedes who enjoy the concept.

Spisa is a Swedish-style food market where you’ll find familiar flavors from home, both in the restaurant and the café. You can come here for a proper meal, a coffee, or something simple and comforting that reminds you of Sweden. They have the store, a deli where you can buy fresh meat and fish and a bakery section for cinnamon buns. The space is large and relaxed, which makes it popular with people who work remotely. It’s easy to settle in with a laptop for a few hours without feeling in the way.

Inside, you’ll also find Bolaget, which offers a great selection of wines and other alcoholic beverages, very much inspired by the Swedish system. It’s perfect if you want to pick up a good bottle while you’re already here.

Outside, there’s Sibylla, which is a real bonus if you’re Swedish. It’s the only place in Marbella where I can get a proper French hot dog, and that’s honestly something I miss the most from Sweden. For fellow Swedes, this alone can feel like a small piece of home.

If you’re looking for Swedish food in Marbella, a place to work remotely, or just somewhere relaxed to eat and meet people in Nueva Andalucía, Spisa is one of those spots you’ll likely come back to.
