Miguel Ángel Jiménez hosted its three Opens de Andalucía, and his charity Pro-Am, the oldest in Spain, still plays here every year. Two Women's Spanish Opens too, and since 2025 the Legends Tour opens its season at Aloha, with Jiménez in the field.

Aloha is one of the three famous clubs in the Golf Valley of Nueva Andalucía, three kilometres above Puerto Banús. It was Javier Arana's last design; he died in 1975, just as the course was finished, and the first drive was hit on 25 October 1975. It is a par 72 of about 6,200 metres. The fairways are narrow, lined with eucalyptus and pine, with lakes and streams, tiered greens, four long par 3s and several short par 4s. The 7th needs a blind approach to a tiny green in a hollow. The European Tour's Open de Andalucía was played here in 2007, 2008 and 2012, the Ladies Spanish Open in 2016 and 2019, and since 2025 the Legends Tour has opened its season here with the Staysure Marbella Legends. Aloha has been members only since 2023. There are no public tee times; you play as a member's guest. To join, you buy a share from a selling member. Asking prices were around 63,000 euros in August 2026, with a club entry fee and yearly fees on top.
No public green fee. A member's guest pays 110 euros for 18 holes, 55 for 9 or after maintenance days, juniors 55 and 30. The club's tariff lists a 400 visitor rate for reference only.
A shareholder club. You buy a share from a selling member: the club's own list on 26 August 2026 had 3 shares for sale at 62,500 to 65,000 euros, and the club takes no commission. Then you pay an entry fee of 25,000, in 3 instalments of 9,000 if you prefer, rising to 30,000 from January 2027; a partner joins for 17,500. The subscription is 3,350 a year in 2026, the same for a family, after a 350 discount for paying before 31 December. A buggy for the year is 1,100, 550 for a partner, or 40 a round. Children and grandchildren play free to 21 and can stay under the member's share until 30. Members also play Las Brisas, Sotogrande and San Roque on set days for 50. To apply you need a handicap of 28 or better for men, 36 for women, your last 20 scores, the federation form and a copy of the share deed (verified with the club, Sep 2026).
For members and their guests: a 300 metre grass range, with Trackman in the mornings.
What the internet says
Access limits reviews, but the scores are strong everywhere. Top100GolfCourses ranks Aloha 26th in Spain and 8th on the Costa del Sol, with a user score of 4.5. The Albrecht Golf Guide shows 4.4 of 5 from 7 reviews, and Golfshake 4.3 from 5 reviews with 100 percent happy to return (read 2026). Players praise the design, the trees and the rebuilt greens. The plain warning: since 2023 you simply cannot book it; public play is limited to occasional charity opens, so most visitors never get past the gate.

Public reviews are few because this is a members club. The club replaced all its greens in 2023, and guests describe a course kept in excellent shape.
