Añoreta Resort

⛳ 18 holes · par 72 José María Cañizares · 1990 Rincón de la Victoria

The first course east of Málaga, with water on eleven holes. Cañizares's first design.

🛰️ The course from the sky

Añoreta, now branded Añoreta Resort, was the first golf course in the Axarquía, the coast east of Málaga. José María Cañizares, a Ryder Cup player and twice World Cup winner, designed it as his first course, and it opened in 1990 at Rincón de la Victoria, ten minutes from the city. It is a par 72 of 5,976 metres between the hills and the sea. Water touches eleven holes: a lake sits in the middle of the 7th fairway, the 8th doglegs around another, and the par-3 17th plays almost entirely over water. Fairways are Bermuda grass lined with palms, and the greens run fast. The resort adds suites, padel courts and a golf academy. It suits steady players who place the ball; wild drivers will lose golf balls here. The standard online rate in late summer 2026 is 72 euros, with twilight and buggy packages sold on the club site. One practical note: the driving range sits a short drive from the clubhouse, so allow extra time to warm up.

Green fee €82–92 2026/27 season, low to high

The club's own 2026 card: 82 euros in low season, 92 in high; twilight 65. A green fee with the buggy is 103 to 110.

Membership

A year as socio is 2,189 euros, 3,295 for a couple. Passes run from a week at 325 to six months, and green fee packs from 10 rounds at 520 (verified with the club, Aug 2026).

Driving range

A range on site, open six days a week; the academy teaches with Trackman.

The clubhouse table

Bendita Katalina runs as a public restaurant in the clubhouse.

What the internet says

On Leadingcourses it scores 7.3 from 353 reviews (read 2026); value scores 7.5 but facilities only 6.3. Golfshake users give 3.4 from 19 reviews, and even so 94 percent would play again; their pace sub-score is a low 2.8. Hole19 golfers rate it 4.1. Praise centres on the water holes, quick greens and friendly staff. The warnings are consistent: the range is far from the first tee, signs between holes are poor, rounds drag behind walking groups, and some tee boxes are worn. A few call the clubhouse dated.

The course and the greens

Most reviews say the course is green and well watered, with good greens on most days. Some visitors found the greens slow, with old pitch marks, and a few say the fairways get too much water.

Arrival and the welcome

Reviewers describe very helpful, friendly staff. The pro shop team in particular gets kind words.
