Benalmádena Golf
🛰️ The course from the sky↓
Benalmádena Golf is a nine-hole par 27 course in Arroyo de la Miel, beside the motorway exit above Benalmádena. Marcos Martín and Blake Stirling designed it, and it opened in 2006. The holes run from about 40 to 100 metres over sloping ground, with bunkers and shaped greens, so it is real short-game work, not a toy course. The site is built for learning: a 48-bay driving range on two floors with night lighting, a large putting green, and a golf school known for its junior teaching method. In 2019 the Spanish golf federation gave the club an award for that work. A nine-hole round costs 23 euros in 2026, range balls cost 1 euro for 20, and a monthly pass with unlimited golf and range costs 62 euros. Single clubs rent for 2 euros. It suits beginners, families and anyone with a spare hour; experienced players use it to sharpen their wedges. The restaurant opens at midday and closes on Mondays.
The club's 2026 flyer: nine holes 23 euros after lunch, 28 in the morning; a whole day 32 to 40, and residents play twilight for 23.
Membership is 750 euros a year, 1,350 for a family of two; with a daily basket of range balls it is 850 and 1,530. A month of unlimited play is 150 (verified with the club, Aug 2026).
48 bays over two floors with night lighting; a bucket of 35 balls is 2.50 euros.
Terra's own line: you do not need to play golf to eat here, but it helps.
What the internet says
On Leadingcourses it scores 7.7 from 47 reviews (read 2026), and value for money is the highest sub-score at 8.5. Hole19 golfers rate it 4.5. A lone Golfshake review gives 3.8 and praises the accuracy test. Reviewers call it a well-kept pitch and putt with real elevation changes and enough hazards to punish a loose wedge, and several walk it twice for a cheap 18. The warnings: waits build on the second loop when it fills, one 2026 reviewer found the range balls old and dirty, and the restaurant's noon opening catches early players out.
