Cabopino Golf Marbella

⛳ 18 holes · par 71 Juan Ligués Creus · 2001 Marbella

Short, scenic, and the value pick in every forum thread.

🛰️ The course from the sky

Cabopino sits above the Cabopino marina at Marbella's eastern edge, between the town and Calahonda. Juan Ligués Creus designed it, and it opened in 2001. It is a par 71 of about 5,170 metres, one of the shortest full courses on the coast, laid over hilly ground among old umbrella pines with sea views from many holes. Length matters less than placement here: raised tees, doglegs and small greens reward careful irons. The 3rd is the signature, a short par 4 dropping steeply from an elevated tee; the 12th turns sharply, and the 14th is an uphill par 5. It suits mid and high handicaps, seniors and anyone tired of 6,500-metre slogs; long hitters may feel squeezed. The slopes make walking hard work, so most take a buggy. Official 2026 rates: 62 euros low season, 76 mid, 98 high; with a shared buggy 75 to 116 euros; twilight from 57 euros; nine holes from 40 euros. Book on the club's online tee sheet, where prices move with demand.

What the internet says

Golfshake users score it 4.2 from 77 reviews with 94 percent ready to return (read 2026); course conditions rate 4.3 and pace 4.3. The Albrecht Golf Guide shows 4.0 of 5 from 33 reviews, and Top100GolfCourses users average 4.0, with the site ranking it 58th on the Costa del Sol. Players praise the views, the greens and the fun of the short, clever holes. The warnings: narrow driving lines punish wild tee shots, the hills make it a hard walk, and several reviewers report disputes over the buggy deposit at check-in.

The course and the greens

Reviewers on TripAdvisor and leadingcourses describe a well kept course with quick, tricky greens, even after rain. A few noted the odd bare green in some seasons.

Arrival and the welcome

Visitors often mention a nice welcome on arrival and staff who are friendly and easy to deal with.
