Casares Costa Golf

⛳ 9 holes · par 34 Juan Carlos Martínez · 2008 Casares Costa
🛰️ The course from the sky

Casares Costa Golf is a nine-hole course beside the A-7 road at Casares Costa, below Casares village. Juan Carlos Martínez designed it, and it opened in 2008. The card is par 34, with three par 3s, five par 4s and one par 5. The holes sit in a small valley planted with vines, avocado and orange trees. The course is short and flat enough to walk, so it works for a quick round, for beginners and for practice. Some fairways are narrow, and the one par 5 needs two careful shots. There is a driving range, a putting green, three short academy holes of about 60 metres, footgolf and a restaurant with a terrace. The club is rebuilding its website and publishes no rate sheet. Booking sites have listed nine holes from about 25 euros (read 2026). Book by phone or through the usual golf booking sites.

Green fee €40–50 2026, the club's own list

What the internet says

On Leadingcourses, Casares Costa scores 6.7 from 110 reviews (read 2026). Golfshake users give 3.6 of 5 from 7 reviews, and all of them would play again. Hole19 shows 4.1 of 5, while the Albrecht Golf Guide sits lower at 2.8 of 5. The praise repeats across platforms: cheap golf, a varied nine with some holes as good as a full course, friendly people and a pleasant terrace. The warnings repeat too: maintenance moves up and down with the budget, the narrow 7th frustrates many, and the practice-area sub-scores are weak.

The course and the greens

Reviews split. Older visitors reported poor greens and bunkers low on sand, while newer reviews praise the new greens and steady improvement each year.

Arrival and the welcome

Reviewers describe the local staff as friendly, polite and always smiling.
