Cerrado del Águila Golf
A full-length nine by the hippodrome.
🛰️ The course from the sky↓
Cerrado del Águila is a nine-hole course beside the old Mijas racecourse, in the hills above Fuengirola. It opened in May 2007 inside a residential resort of the same name. The nine holes are par 35 over 2,867 metres, with three par 3s, four par 4s and two par 5s; most visitors play the loop twice for a par-70 round. The ground is open and gentle enough to walk, with lakes, olive trees and palms, and sea views from most holes. The clubhouse is bigger than the course suggests: a large restaurant terrace with sea views, a gym and padel courts, plus a driving range and academy. It suits local players after a quick nine and holiday golfers who do not want a five-hour round. In 2026 nine holes cost 45 to 48 euros and eighteen holes 60 to 65 euros, buggy extra and not really needed. Book directly with the club.
The club's own summer 2026 rates: 45 euros for nine holes, 60 for eighteen; buggies 25 and 35.
Membership is closed for now and there is a waiting list; vouchers are paused too. The price level meanwhile: a year is 3,350 euros alone or 4,100 a couple, with buggy versions at 3,900 and 4,800 (verified with the club, Aug 2026).
A covered range of about 250 metres, with putting and pitching greens.
La Sierra runs as a public restaurant, with a bookable Sunday carvery.
What the internet says
The score platforms are thin here, which fits a nine-hole club. Leadingcourses' guide text calls it one of the best nine-hole courses in Andalusia, though its review count stays small (read 2026). On 18Birdies players rate it 4.7 of 5, and the single scored Golfshake review also gives 4.7 and praises the condition. Visitor reviews elsewhere repeat the same positives, true greens and sea views, and two warnings: extra charges on top of the green fee irritate some players, and the greens go through rough patches in some seasons.
The course and the greens
Most recent reviews say the greens and the course are in good condition. Players note the greens are quite flat, and some found them slow. After heavy rain, parts of the course can hold water.
Arrival and the welcome
Visitors praise a friendly, helpful team, with warm words for the golf office staff. Reviews describe a relaxed, family feel.
