El Soto Club de Golf

El Soto is the community golf course of the El Soto de Marbella urbanisation, in the La Mairena hills above Elviria, officially in Ojén. Manuel Piñero, twice a World Cup winner with Spain, designed the nine-hole par-3 layout. It is tiny: the holes average about 60 metres, roughly 600 metres in all, with tees and greens at different heights, small lakes and ravines between them. This is short-game golf, a wedge and a putter, and a friendly first course for beginners; experienced players use it to sharpen pitching. The club is the social centre of the hill: gym, tennis and padel, and a restaurant with long mountain and sea views. It has no working website of its own; contact goes through the club's phone or its Facebook page, and green fees are not published, so ask before you drive up. Residents and members come first, but visitors are generally welcomed with them.

What the internet says

There is very little public review data, which itself says something about how local the club is. On Hole19, players who logged rounds rate it 4.7 of 5 (read 2026), the highest short-course score around Marbella, and describe a scenic, well-kept par-3 that suits learning and short-game work. The Golfshake listing exists but holds no reviews at all. Andalucia.com calls it a real test for the short game despite the tiny lengths. The warning: with no website, no published prices and near-zero review history, everything needs a phone call first.
