Campo Europa is the newest and flattest of the three La Cala courses. It opened in 2005, again designed by Cabell B. Robinson. It is a par 71 of 6,014 metres with generous fairways and the biggest greens at the resort, so most visitors find it the friendliest of the three. Flat does not mean soft: the Ojén river crosses the course and affects eight holes, the par-3 14th stretches to 233 metres from the back, and the long 4th is one of the hardest par 4s on the coast. This is the course the professionals get next: Europa hosts the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España, the Ladies European Tour season final, from 26 to 29 November 2026, with a 700,000 euro prize fund. Prices are dynamic and shared with the resort: from about 72 euros off peak in 2026, most rates with buggy, three-course pass 231 to 387 euros. Europa closed for summer maintenance from 20 July to 9 August 2026.
Most rates include the buggy; the resort prices with demand. Twilight rounds from mid-afternoon: 55 to 91 euros in 2026, 60 to 100 in 2027.
The resort's Golf Hub academy has a grass range with putting, chipping and bunker areas, shared by all the courses.
The resort's Clubhouse restaurant takes walk-ins daily, no reservation needed, and six more restaurants and bars sit around the resort.
What the internet says
Resort-level scores apply: Leadingcourses 8.1 from 430 reviews, Golfshake 4.2 from 190 with 99 percent ready to return (read 2026). On Top100GolfCourses, Europa's user reviews average about 3.5 of 5, a step below América and Asia, though reviewers there say the course has matured well and praise the mountain views and the strong par 5s. Golfshake reviewers often name Europa as the best conditioned of the three. The warnings: the river takes a lot of balls, the 4th gets called brutal, and it is flat only by La Cala standards.
The course and the greens
Most reviewers praise quick, smooth greens and a well-kept course. Earlier this year, visitors said Europa and America had the best greens of the three La Cala courses. A few regular players found weaker days too.
