The Short Course is La Cala Resort's fourth course, opened on 4 July 2025. It is a nine-hole par 3 beside the driving range and academy, in the area the resort now calls the Golf Hub, and it replaced the old six-hole academy loop. The holes run over the same rolling ground as the big courses, with raised tees and sea views, but a round takes about an hour. It is built for families, juniors and beginners, and for better players who want short-game work with a card in hand. Kids under 12 play free with a paying adult, which no other course in the area offers. In 2026 adults pay 25 euros for nine holes and 35 euros for eighteen; juniors under 17 pay 18 and 25 euros. The Golf Hub around it, with an upgraded academy, is due to finish in 2026.

The short course has its own membership, no share needed: unlimited play is 280 euros a month or 1,200 a year, with a range ball card and 10 percent off lessons, and packs of 10 rounds cost 175 euros for 9 holes or 245 for 18. The three big courses work differently. Membership needs a share in La Cala Golf Club S.L., and the resort no longer sells them: shares change hands privately between owners, and the resort keeps no list of buyers or sellers. The other way in is buying a property directly from the resort's own real estate office (property@lacala.com), which comes with the Privilegio Card and the right to apply for membership at the yearly fee. Without a share or a resort property it is green fee packages, priced by players and rounds, through golf@lacala.com or +34 952 66 90 33 (verified with the club, September 2026).
The Golf Hub academy sits right beside it: grass range, putting, chipping and bunker areas.
The resort's Clubhouse restaurant takes walk-ins daily, no reservation needed.
What the internet says
Too new for the platforms: by mid-2026 neither Leadingcourses nor Golfshake carried scored reviews for the Short Course as a separate listing, so there are no independent numbers to report yet. Early golf-press coverage from July 2025 describes elevated tees, sea views and a genuine short-game test rather than a pitch and putt. No warning themes have built up yet either; this entry will be rechecked once real player scores exist.
