La Resina Golf & Country Club

⛳ 9 holes · par 27 Craig Cooke & Bradley Smith · 2005 Estepona
🛰️ The course from the sky

La Resina is a small nine-hole club in the hills behind Selwo, on the east side of Estepona. Craig Cooke and Bradley Smith designed it, and it opened in 2005. On today's card all nine holes are par 3s, set between lakes, pines and old olive trees, and a loop takes about an hour and a half. It is a course for learning, for short-game practice, and for a quick evening round rather than a full test. New owners took over recently and are renovating the course and clubhouse. The club's 2026 prices are simple: 25 euros for nine holes and 35 for eighteen, or 20 and 30 when booked online, with a half set of clubs included in every fee. Children of 15 and under play free with a paying adult, and in July and August a free tapa comes with the green fee.

What the internet says

On Leadingcourses, La Resina scores 6.1 from 23 reviews (read 2026). On Hole19 it holds 4 of 5, though from only a handful of reviews. Players call it cheap, pretty and useful: a relaxed place for beginners, families and short-game work, with the new management's effort noted in recent comments. The warning theme is condition. During the ownership change reviewers reported bunkers without sand and tired greens, and recent visitors say renovation work is still in progress. If perfect surfaces matter to you, ask the club what has been finished before you book.

The course and the greens

Reviewers say the greens are well kept for a small nine hole club, though fairways and tees can show wear. The hilly ground means many suggest a buggy.

Arrival and the welcome

Visitors describe a very welcoming team and a friendly owner. Reviews often mention how hard the small staff works on the course.
