Las Brisas opened in 1968 as Club de Golf Nueva Andalucía, built for the developer José Banús with a Robert Trent Jones Sr design. It was one of the first courses in Europe with bent-grass greens. Kyle Phillips rebuilt the course in 2014 and 2015, restoring Jones's style and creating new holes on the back nine. It is a par 72 of 6,203 metres from the back tees. Ten lakes, fed by two streams, bring water into play on twelve holes, and the raised, fast greens are heavily bunkered. The gardens are part of the fame: trees collected from five continents. Las Brisas hosted the World Cup in 1973, won by Nicklaus and Miller, and again in 1989, plus the Spanish Open in 1970, 1983 and 1987, and the Ladies European Tour season finale in 2023. It became a members' club in 1981 and has about 1,225 members. Guests play only with a member. The entrance fee is 35,000 euros and the annual fee about 4,000 euros (2026).
Weather in San Pedro de Alcántara
No public green fee. A member's guest pays 120 euros in 2026 (45 for a junior, 80 for nine holes), 3 guests at a time in low season and 1 in high. A non-member can play at most 8 times a year as a guest or visitor; close family of a member up to 12.
A shareholder club. You buy a share in Campogolf SA, the company that owns the course, from a member who is selling or through the club's own office: the club's list on 4 September 2026 had 33 shares for sale at 43,000 to 60,000 euros, most of them at 45,000 to 50,000, all debt free, and the transfer is signed at a notary at the buyer's cost. Then you pay the club a joining fee of 35,000 euros. Under 50s can spread it over three years (15,000, then 10,000 and 10,000) and close family of members over two (17,500 and 17,500), with a 5% surcharge on the deferred part. The annual fee is 4,000 euros in 2026 (one tee time a day), due on 1 January; a junior member under 20 pays 610 and a non-playing social member 800. A club buggy for the year is 990, or 40 a round, and members play Aloha, Sotogrande and Real Club Sevilla on reciprocal terms for 50. To apply you need a handicap of 24 for men or 32 for women with a certificate from your home club, two member signatures on the form, and the form then hangs on the club notice board for at least 15 days before the board decides (verified with the club, September 2026).

What the internet says
Leadingcourses users score it 8.7 from 65 reviews (read 2026), one of the top marks on the coast. Top100GolfCourses ranks it 9th in Spain, 3rd on the Costa del Sol and 62nd in continental Europe, with a 4.5 user score. Golfshake shows 4.5, but from only 3 reviews. Players praise the greens, the water holes and the gardens. The warning is access: reviews come almost only from members and their guests, guest numbers are capped, and there is no way to simply book a round.

Public reviews are few because this is a private members club. Guests who have played it describe very well kept, true greens and a course held to a high standard.
