🛰️ The course from the sky↓
Lauro Golf sits in open country at Alhaurín de la Torre, about twenty minutes from Málaga airport. Italian architect Folco Nardi designed the original course, opened in 1992, and the club later grew to 27 holes, with the newest loop drawn by Mariano Benítez. The three nines combine into three different 18s, each par 72 and around 6,000 metres. The land rolls: the 19 to 27 loop climbs to valley views, while holes 10 to 18 run up and down beside the road. Fourteen lakes come into play. The clubhouse is an old Andalusian cortijo, with a huge ficus tree shading the patio. Lauro is a regular stop on the Santander Golf Tour, Spain's women's professional circuit, and staged the Spanish Women's Professional Championship in 2023. Green fees in 2026 run about 59 to 83 euros by season, with the buggy at 45 euros; peak spring 2027 reaches about 87 euros, and a summer 2026 season ticket cost 690 euros. It suits golfers who want variety, quiet surroundings and fair prices.
From 2026 rates to about 87 in peak season; the buggy is 45 euros.
A year of unlimited golf is 2,595 euros, 4,695 for a couple; six months 1,895, a month from 495 in low season. The cheaper Azul and Rojo yearly cards trade a lower fee for paying 7 to 40 euros a round, and peak morning times cost 30 extra (verified with the club, Aug 2026).
A range and putting greens by the academy.
The club's own words: non golfers and anyone who enjoys good food are gladly welcomed.
What the internet says
On Leadingcourses it scores 8.0 from 141 reviews (read 2026): hospitality 8.2, value 8.0, and the three nines rate 7.7 to 8.0. Recent reviewers describe full green fairways, good greens and a calm, unhurried welcome. Golfshake is harsher at 3.5 from 37 reviews, though 93 percent would still play again; its condition sub-score of 3.0 traces back to reviews from a rough 2023 spell, when players reported closed holes. The current warning themes are milder: the middle nine's roadside climbs and summer dryness.
