Magna Marbella Golf

⛳ 9 holes · par 28 José María Elguezábal · 2004 Nueva Andalucía

Two kilometres from Puerto Banús; the PG academy runs a two-level Toptracer range.

🛰️ The course from the sky

Magna Marbella is the short course of the Golf Valley, on a hillside two kilometres from Puerto Banús. José María Elguezábal designed it, and the federation record dates the club to 2004. It has nine holes; the official federation card makes it par 28, though several directories list 29. Holes run from about 120 to 275 metres, with raised tees, wide targets and sea views, and you can play it twice for an 18-hole round of par 56 and up to 2,652 metres. Since the PG Sports Academy took over the golf operation it trades as PG by Magna Marbella. The academy is the point here: a two-level Toptracer driving range, putting and chipping zones, junior programmes and lessons under professional Manuel Cabanillas. It suits beginners, juniors, short-game work and quick evening rounds more than full-length golf. The club does not publish a green-fee sheet; prices move with season, so book or ask through the club's own site.

What the internet says

Review coverage is thin on the golf platforms; there is no Golfshake listing. On Hole19, players who logged rounds rate it 3.9 of 5 from more than 50 ratings (read 2026), calling it a balanced short course for all levels with great practice facilities. Directory reviews repeat the same praise: the Toptracer range, the views and the relaxed pace. The warnings: no public price list, so you cannot compare costs before asking, and even basic facts differ between sources, with par listed as 28 or 29.

The course and the greens

Reviews are split. Some visitors found the course tidy with quick greens, while others reported bare patches and thin grass on the fairways.

Arrival and the welcome

Google and TripAdvisor reviewers mention friendly staff in the shop and good, patient teaching pros. Beginners say they feel welcome here.
