Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf

⛳ 18 holes · par 72 Kosti Kuronen, redesigned by Miguel Ángel Jiménez in 2007 · 1990 Málaga

A Málaga members' club founded in 1987, playing since 1990. LET season finale 2024 and 2025, back to back.

🛰️ The course from the sky

Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf lies in Campanillas, fifteen minutes inland from Málaga airport. Finnish architect Kosti Kuronen designed the course at the end of the 1980s, and Miguel Ángel Jiménez redesigned it in 2007. It is a par 72 of about 6,200 metres on mostly gentle ground: a few slopes early, then flat golf among citrus farms near the Guadalhorce river, with water and quick, shaped greens deciding the closing holes. The clubhouse is an 18th-century cortijo that belonged to the Larios family, chapel included. The Ladies European Tour picked it for its season finale, the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España, in 2024 and 2025; Carlota Ciganda won the 2024 edition. There is also a nine-hole par 3 course. It is a members' club that welcomes visitors. Green fees start around 125 euros in 2026, booked through the club's online system, and rise toward 145 in high season. Note the maintenance closure from 4 to 27 September 2026.

What the internet says

On Leadingcourses it scores 8.2 from 102 reviews (read 2026), 19th of 103 in Andalusia, with the clubhouse sub-score at 8.4; the par 3 course rates 8.9. Golfshake users give 4.1 from 19 reviews and 100 percent would return. Reviewers praise fast, true greens, tournament-grade bunkers, the grass driving range and the cortijo food. Two warnings repeat: aircraft from the airport pass low and often, and prices have climbed toward resort level. A few also found waymarking between holes thin and the tee signs hard to read.

The course and the greens

Visitors say the course is almost always well kept, and many reviews call the greens fast and good. The rolling greens on the back nine get special praise.

Arrival and the welcome

Reviewers describe excellent, welcoming staff. The pro shop team gets warm praise for being polite and helpful.
