Santa Clara Golf Marbella

⛳ 18 holes · par 71 Enrique Canales Busquets · 2001 Marbella
🛰️ The course from the sky

Santa Clara opened in 2001 behind the Los Monteros area, ten minutes east of Marbella centre. Enrique Canales Busquets designed it as comfortable golf: a par 71 of 5,891 metres with wide fairways, almost no rough, open entrances to large greens and only a few real slopes. Buggies are part of the model here; the green fee normally includes one, paths reach every hole, and trolleys are free, so it works well for seniors and holiday golfers who want an easy day. Water and long bunkers defend a handful of holes, and there are wide views to the sea and the mountains. Prices are dynamic: online rates in 2026 start around 120 to 135 euros, and operator lists show high-season rates near 176 euros. A yearly membership costs 2,950 euros without a buggy or 4,000 euros with one (2026), and the club sells a 300 euro passport for five Marbella courses. Book on the club's own site.

Green fee €120–190 2026/27 season, low to high

From about 120 euros online; the club's own rack rate is 190 with the shared buggy in, 130 for nine holes.

No membership here at all. The club sells shareable green-fee packs instead, buggy included, valid a year: 10 rounds 1,600 euros, 20 for 3,100, 30 for 4,500, 50 for 7,000 (verified with the club, Aug 2026).

What the internet says

Leadingcourses users score it 7.7 from 188 reviews (read 2026). Golfshake shows 3.8 of 5 from 56 reviews, and only 83 percent would play again, a low figure for this coast. The Albrecht Golf Guide gives 4.0 from 43 reviews. Players like the width, the views, the friendly staff and the buggy-included pricing. The warning themes are clear: the Golfshake condition sub-score is 3.3, with some reviews reporting rough greens, slow rounds behind big groups, and prices that reviewers feel have risen faster than the conditioning.

The course and the greens

Most reviewers find the course in good shape, though green speed can change a lot from visit to visit. A few reviews report rough patches on some holes.

Arrival and the welcome

Google and TripAdvisor reviewers mostly describe friendly, welcoming staff. A small number had a bad experience with the starter or a marshal.
