🛰️ The course from the sky

Tramores is Villa Padierna's short course, and the club calls it the only executive course on the Costa del Sol. It opened in 2009, credited by the club to Antonio García Garrido. It is a par 63 of 3,468 metres, cut into a hillside between two valleys with sea views. Most holes are par 3s joined by a run of par 4s, so you hit every iron and still face real golf: water, drops and quick greens. Rounds take about three hours, with tee times every ten minutes. The resort's golf school, the Tramores Golf Academy led by 2005 US Open champion Michael Campbell, teaches here, so the course suits juniors, beginners and anyone working on the short game. In 2026, public rates ran about 66 to 78 euros by season, and booking sites sold summer rounds from 49 to 52 euros. The tee sheet stays quieter than the resort's two big courses.

What the internet says

On Leadingcourses, Tramores rates 7.2, the lowest of Villa Padierna's three courses, inside the resort's overall 8.1 from 360 reviews (read 2026). Golfinspain users give the resort 3.7 from 61 reviews across the three courses. A July 2026 reviewer scored it 9.5 and praised the quiet tees, the views and the welcome at reception, and several players use it for iron practice between bigger rounds. The repeated warnings: golfers expecting a full-length course find it small, and the summer 2026 dryness that hit the resort's other courses shows here too.

The course and the greens

Reviewers describe well kept greens and fairways, in good shape for a short course. Players on 18Birdies give the condition top marks.

Arrival and the welcome
