Barbillón

Barbillón is a hidden pool club in Guadalmina Baja. Very large space, with the restaurant in the middle, sun beds all around, and beach access.

Two pools. The one with the kids section is super busy and buzzing. The other is a smaller Balinese style pool, adults only, not heated, starts shallow and then goes deeper. On the rooftop they sometimes do yoga or pilates sessions.

The food is not something to write home about, and the bathrooms need some retouching. The fruit platter was great though. But here is the thing: there is almost always room, and in August, 150 euros per person with 100 of that for food beats most places.

Dress code is beachy: swimwear and linen. They have valet parking. I recommend booking the beds by the pool facing south, you get sun all day.
