The bakery is inside Forum, on the ground level. You often smell Nybakat before you actually see it. The scent of freshly baked ”kanelbullar”, proper Swedish cinnamon buns, fills the air on the way down the stairs, and they’re honestly the best you’ll find in Marbella. The big glass window lets you watch the bakers at work, which somehow makes the whole experience even better. It feels real, warm, and unpretentious.

Most of the staff speak Swedish, so even a simple “hej” makes you feel instantly welcome. At the same time, everyone fits in here, whether you’re Swedish or not. They offer table service, which makes it easy to sit down, relax, and enjoy your Swedish fika properly. Beyond pastries, you’ll also find fresh juices, good sandwiches, and simple but satisfying food that works just as well for breakfast as it does for a late coffee stop.

If you’re Swedish and missing home, Nybakat will hit the spot. And if you’re not, it’s still one of the best places in Marbella to understand why Swedes take their coffee breaks so seriously.
