Florentine Marbella is a Swedish owned Italian restaurant that strikes a really nice balance between relaxed and polished. It feels stylish without being stiff, and the food is genuinely good, not just “good for a chain.” That’s also why it works so well as a smarter, more laid-back alternative to places like Cipriani in Puente Romano, which can feel a bit over the top (and overpriced) at times.

The interior is what really sets Florentine apart. The décor feels thoughtful and elevated, with a warm, modern Italian feel that makes the whole experience nicer than your average restaurant. It’s a place that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for something a bit more special.

Dress code is very flexible. You’ll see everything from jeans and a simple top to more dressed-up evening looks, and both feel equally at home here. The only real rule is a funny one, avoid green shirts with khaki trousers unless you want to blend in with the staff, since it looks a lot like their uniform. See picture here below, haha.

During the warmer months, their rooftop Cielo is a great spot. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and feels airy and social, especially in the evenings. When it’s cooler, though, I always prefer sitting inside near the main bar. That area has the best atmosphere, a bit more energy, and feels like the heart of the restaurant.

If you’re looking for an Italian restaurant in Marbella that feels refined but easygoing, Florentine is one of those places that quietly gets it right.
