Filip Peretz (Filip David Peretz) is a real estate professional and entrepreneur based on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain. He is the founder and community director of Forum Costa forumcosta.com, a community platform for the Costa del Sol built on local knowledge: guides, recommendations, a business directory and town-by-town discussions.
Professionally, Peretz works as a buyer's agent specialising in new residential developments across the Costa del Sol. He has been with New Build Properties SL, the Marbella agency behind developments.es, since 2022; before property he worked in business development and in luxury sales, finance and a background in tourism. He has lived and worked on the coast for 22 years and works with clients in Swedish, English, Spanish and Russian.
He created Forum Costa as an informal resource for clients and acquaintances moving to the region, who kept asking him for practical local advice: where to eat, which areas to live in, who to trust for services. It grew into a community portal, local guide and business directory that connects residents, expatriates and newcomers with verified local services, tradespeople, restaurants and neighbourhood knowledge shared by the people who live there.
The site carries more than 80 guides, most of them written by Peretz himself: area guides from Alcaidesa to Nerja, including Marbella, Estepona and Sotogrande, and guides on buying, renting, building surveys, communities and the cost of living. Around them sit a forum for every town, a map of recommended businesses, tools such as a mortgage calculator, a currency converter, a golf membership guide and an emergency numbers page, an iPhone app, and translations into eight languages. He also films the area videos and guides and attaches them to the guides or on the New Builds YouTube channel.
Residents and newcomers use the forum to ask anything about their town and get answers from people who live there, often from Peretz himself. A business is listed on the map because someone on the site recommends it, and he checks every listing before it goes up. He can be reached through the site, for the forum and for his work as a buyer's agent.
